GET INVOLVED WITH BENEFIT PLAYERS

Benefit Players is an all volunteer organization and we would not be able to function without the unflagging support of volunteers like you. There are many ways you can become a part of the Benefit Players family of volunteers. Perhaps you'd like to act, sing or dance on stage. Perhaps you're the artistic type and would like to express yourself by designing sets, lights, sound, costumes or make-up. Or maybe you'd like to help out behind the scenes—hosting our performances, maintaining our theater, creating our programs or working on our publicity... No matter what your interests, there's a place for you at the Benefit Players.

Members of Benefit Players come from all walks of life and display a wide variety of talents and personalities. The one thing that all of our Benefit Player volunteers share is that they are people who care and who like to have fun. Everyone at Benefit Players volunteers their time and energy to help deliver high quality, affordable entertainment to the community. From those who manage the day-to-day operations of the theatre to the actors, directors and technical staff who bring the shows to life—all are volunteers.

You don't need any special talents to join our Benefit Players volunteers. Even if you've never stepped foot in a theatre before, we'll gladly teach you everything you need to know. It's a great way to get involved and give something back to your community. By joining the other volunteers at Benefit Players, you'll be helping people enjoy a cultural experience they might otherwise be unable to afford or could not travel to see.

We are seeking volunteers for the following positions:

Fundraising: A special someone who can help us raise funds to cover our rent and pay our utilities and to obtain sponsors to underwrite production costs.

Hospitality: The Benefit Players are fortunate to have a dedicated group of supporters who have volunteered to host our performances, but we need someone to organize their scheduling and to provide training for new volunteers.

Publicity: Several of our Board members have been handling our publicity, but they would like to hand this hat over to someone else who could take charge of event publicity as well as handling general publicity to raise our profile in the community.

Webmaster: We could use some help on improving the design of our website and keeping the posted information current.

Facility Maintenance: We need someone to help with keeping our facility clean for performances and rehearsals.

Financial Support

We are always looking for donors and sponsors to help continue the special work the Benefit Players provides the public. If you would like to support these efforts, please fill out our donor form and mail it to P.O. Box 867, Friday Harbor, WA 98250.
